GREETINGS FROM CHICAGO'S MAYOR
Dear Friends,
Trade shows are serious business in Chicago. Granted, we think our city
is a great destination anytime, but when it comes to putting on business
meetings and trade shows, we believe Chicago offers you unparalleled benefits.
McCormick Place is the foremost trade show facility in North America,
while Navy Pier is our jewel on the lake, a one-of-a-kind mix of exhibit
halls, meeting spaces and just plain old fun. And each is within a very
short cab ride of our city's famous museums, galleries, boutiques, restaurants,
and night spots.
To insure your show's success, our Metropolitan Pier and Exhibit Authority
employs only union labor, professional craftspeople like the men and women
of Chicago and Northeast Illinois District Council of Carpenters. Not
only do they have specialized training in trade show installation, training
not usually available elsewhere, but they understand the importance of
their work to both you...and to our city. They know that we, like you,
want satisfied customers and repeat business.
Since information is one of the key ingredients in any successful business
strategy, the Carpenters Union has developed this website to help make
your trade show or meeting a memorable experience. So here's to a very
successful visit. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Richard Daley
Mayor
City of Chicago
